I was speaking to a photographer friend today who is buying human models made from various materials,reconfiguring them ,painting them, placing them in vitrines and photographing them. I'm interested in the fairly recent proliferation of figurine making which has happened in the past couple of years in the art/crafts. Any thoughts on why this may be happening?
