The 6th Arte Laguna Prize extends the applications to 30th November for the applications by mail and to 6th December for applications on-line.

The staff has taken this decision considering the large number of requests received during these days by the artists.

Call for entry – Texas Artists


Houston Center for Contemporary Craft announces its call for entry for “CraftTexas 2012”, the seventh in a series of juried exhibitions showcasing the best in Texas-made contemporary craft. This unique show provides Texas artists the opportunity to be considered for inclusion in major national museum and private collections. The exhibition is open to artists currently residing in Texas who work in clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood and found/recycled materials. The exhibition also serves as a starting place for the general public to appreciate the depth and breadth of art being made in our own communities and across the state. “CraftTexas 2012” will be juried by Jean W. McLaughlin, Executive Director of the Penland School of Crafts in Bakersville, NC; Rachelle Thiewes, internationally acclaimed metal and jewelry artist from El Paso, TX; and Jade Walker, Director of the Visual Arts Center and the Creative Research Laboratory at the University of Texas at Austin.The entry fee for “CraftTexas 2012” is $35, and applications must be must be completed and submitted online via the CaFÉTM system at www.callforentry.org by March 15.For full details, visit www.crafthouston.org or www.callforentry.org.
