July 13, 2014 – New York City,
NY:
Sculpture
Space NYC is opening its doors July 14th
and is currently welcoming ongoing artist
residency applications, for project specific or research based projects. To
assist artists in finding funding for fees, Sculpture Space NYC encourages and
supports applicants to use crowdfunding sites (RocketHub, Indiegogo,
Kickstarter, etc.) as part of the application process.
Sculpture
Space NYC wants to create a space that enables artists from all of over the
world to work side by side, creating a dynamic mix of visual language and
cultural practice. There are two different types of
residencies: one for artist’s interested in expanding their practice through
research and development (expand
residency
) and artist’s who are proposing a specific project for a
commission or exhibition (aim residency).
For
application guidelines email Magda at [email protected]; once accepted, applicants will
have our endorsement and can use our facilities to create their campaign. The
applications are ongoing, giving artists the flexibility to work the residency
into their own schedule.
Sculpture
Space NYC also offers membership opportunities.
