“For me it’s not about making masterpieces or perfect things. I just
love clay and I enjoy the process of touching it every day. Clay
smells like wet soil, and wet soil smells like summer.
Since I was a child I’ve always been scared of becoming an artist. I
grew up with the thought that it’s the most vulnerable, insecure and
tragic occupation ever. I’m still quite uncertain whether it’s a wrong
belief or not, but I guess I simply stopped caring about this. I fear,
but I know I can express this fear in uneven surface, flawed form or
dark color”.
