Nominations for the 2010 Emerging Artists will open mid summer of 2009. Completed applications must be submitted Online by October 1, 2009 (midnight MDT.)
The NCECA Emerging Artist program is intended to give early career artists, who show exceptional promise, the opportunity to present their work to an international audience at the NCECA Annual Conference. Emerging Artist nominations are welcomed from professionals in the field of ceramics, or artists may self nominate with the support of two professionals.
Nominees may not be students and may not have received major national attention for their work, (e.g. a one-person exhibition at a nationally prominent gallery or museum). Submissions will be judged by Lydia Thompson, NCECA Director at Large, and two other NCECA Board Members.

George Penalosa would appreciate another artist to possiblily host him for the 2010 NCECA Conference, could anyone give George a contact. He is one of the Emerging artists this year. he is short on cash but has a load of talent and wants to attend this conference along with his work.
