Boise State University is currently accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track position in Ceramics beginning fall 2010. Boise State University’s ceramics program has a thriving and long standing history within the community at large. The program brings in nationally recognized ceramic visiting artists to the community for workshops and lectures.

You will have the opportunity to:
* Teach 3 courses each semester in all levels of undergraduate ceramics.
* Teach courses in undergraduate seminar and three-dimensional design on a rotating basis.
* Participate in a vibrant and growing MFA graduate program.
* Actively participate in departmental and university service including curriculum development.
* Maintain a strong national/international exhibition record.
* Provide supervision, maintenance, safety, improvement and efficacy of the ceramics facilities and program.

At a minimum you should have:
* MFA in Visual Art.
* Two years post-graduate teaching experience is preferred.
* Extensive knowledge in all the core methodologies, techniques and processes involved in ceramic art.

The preferred candidate will have:
* Distinguished research and professional experience in the medium, and within the larger framework of visual art.
* Extensive knowledge of historical and contemporary studies and practices that engage ceramics as a method of inquiry and visual communication.
* Developed educational strategies for providing meaningful professional and academic guidance to students engaged in the program, within the department and the field of visual art as a whole.

Include 20 images of current work and 20 images of student work (sized to 800 pixels longest dimension at 72 dpi) with image ID list. Include titles and image ID number in file names. All application materials must be submitted as a single file in digital form (PDF format only) and included on a Mac compatible CD/DVD. Time-based work, if applicable, must be a separate file on the CD in a standard video format (Quicktime preferred) and no longer than five minutes. Materials not conforming to these specifications will not be considered.
