Lincoln Arts and Culture Foundation, located in Lincoln, California, will present its 24th annual juried competition of ceramic works April 23rd – May 29th, 2011 featuring artists residing or working in the United States, Mexico and Canada. This celebratory exhibition of contemporary ceramic art (sculptural, non-functional, functional) will be held on the property of the renowned Gladding, McBean Terra Cotta Factory, and displayed inside an original 35 foot beehive kiln and in the historic architectural design studio. Access to the exhibit is by tour only. Juror is Donna Billick, a ceramic artist living in Davis, California. Billick Rock Art has been creating large scale public art for 35 years, using ceramic, mosaic, tile terrazzo, bronze and steel. She is co-founder of the Art/Science Fusion program at the University of Davis. Cash awards. Artists may enter up to three works which use 70% clay as the primary medium. Works must not exceed 36″ or 90cm in any direction-No Exceptions. Works must have been made after January 2010. Entry fee.
