It was years ago, back when I had just begun my love affair with ceramics that I was on trip to London and stopped in at the Galerie Besson for an exhibition of Lucie Rie’s work. At the time I think I had a vague notion of how important she was in the wide world of ceramics, but I had just begun to scratch the surface of the medium and the wealth of amazing artists. I remember it being a beautiful little space, the sounds of the street chatter below wafting up. The gallery was filled with these amazing pots, one of which I couldn’t help but to caress in my hands. Well if you’re lucky enough to live in or be visiting London you should check out the current exhibition of Lucie Rie and Hans Coper.

The gallery is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary and there should be some amazing exhibitions in store. Make sure to check out the upcoming exhibition:
