Current
The CLAY Festival 2019 Exhibition, Current, will be juried by internationally known artist, Sunshine Cobb.
Current intends to reflect the current culture of contemporary ceramics. The longevity of clay lends itself to modern artwork that may reflect this long history, buck against tradition, embrace ritual, or employ new technologies. Current welcomes all entries that speak to the present state of ceramics. Utilitarian ware and sculptural works are welcome.
Visit their website HERE for more info.
The submission entry deadline is May 1st, 2019 at 11:59 PM MDT.

The Okotoks Art Gallery is now accepting submissions for consideration for the 2018 exhibition season. The deadline for submission of proposals is April 28th, 2017 at 11:59pm (MST). As per standard art gallery practice, the gallery’s exhibition schedule is programmed a full year in advance. This enables the gallery to fulfill provincial and federal government funding requirements and provide adequate planning time to mount significant exhibitions that are supported through educational programs and public relations.
Selection of exhibits for 2018 will be finalized by July 31st, 2017. A selection committee reviews the submissions and final selection occurs through studio visits and correspondence with artists and curators in whom the gallery has an interest.

about the exhibition
The Greater Denton Arts Council proudly
presents the 30th annual Materials: Hard + Soft International
Contemporary Craft Competition and Exhibition. Recognized as one of the
premier craft exhibitions in the country, Materials: Hard + Soft began
in 1987 and was originally initiated by area artist Georgia Leach Gough.
The exhibition celebrates the evolving field of contemporary craft and
the remarkable creativity and innovation of artists who push the
boundaries of their chosen media. In this anniversary year, we are
thrilled to be partnering with the National Endowment for the Arts to
expand this national exhibition to now include international artists.
Approximately 70 works will be selected by an esteemed juror for
exhibition at the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center in Denton, Texas.
